Description: On behalf of the CCR-ETA 2110 Evaluation Training and Technical Assistance providers, the Washington State Evaluation Partnership (WSEP) invites CCR-2109 recipients and their partners to a webinar featuring distinguished speakers who will examine national trends in addressing COVID-19 and health inequities.

Denise Octavia Smith, Executive Director of the National Association of Community Health Workers, will lead a reflective and forward-looking discussion on the national context of the COVID-19 pandemic, current health inequities, and the evolving role of the Community Health Worker (CHW) workforce.

Dr. Sandro Galea, Dean of the Boston University School of Public Health, will discuss key points from his book, The Contagion Next Time. He will share insights on the importance of investing in public health measures and structures to prevent future crises, addressing health inequities proactively as a strategy for pandemic preparedness, and how we can seize the opportunity to advance social, economic, and political trends for healthier communities.
